My Story
I am a License Professional Counselor devoted to empowering children, teens, adults and families to live better. I help my clients discover how they can successfully contend with a range of issues, including the challenges of everyday life, grief, substance abuse, trauma, crisis and behavioral and mental health.
My empathetic, client-centered approach is grounded in my broad experience. Distinctive to the field , as a minority male counselor I have over 17 years working with children, teens, adults and families in their homes, in schools, outpatient clinics, crisis centers, homeless shelters and in correctional facilities. Futhermore, I have attended numerous professional development trainings and conferences throughout the country. I have led and overseen professional development training topics relating to Trauma Informed Care, Resiliency, Sanctuary, and Crisis Personnel Intervention. I have experience in trauma evaluations, psychiatric evaluations, treatment planning, academic assessments, behavioral health assessments and safety assessments.
My mission is to guide my clients to identify their self-worth and to obtain the skills they need to realize their resilience. We pursue these goals through counseling, interpersonal training, education, motivation, exploration and identification. Self-sufficiency and healthy positive development are markers of our success.
